Dr. Sorin Laza is a distinguished healthcare professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience in both clinical and administrative roles. As an accomplished Medical Doctor and a graduate of the Master of Healthcare Administration Executive Program at the prestigious Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Laza has cultivated a career that blends the art of healing with the science of healthcare management.
His journey began with a solid foundation in medicine, earning his Medical Doctor degree from the Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Dr. Laza further honed his clinical skills through Internal Medicine Residency at Moses Cone program affiliated with UNC Chapel Hill and an impactful Vascular Medicine and Cardiology Research Fellowship at his alma matter in Cluj. He also gained international experience during his Vascular Medicine Clerkship at the University of Milan, Italy.
Dr. Laza's commitment to excellence is evident in his board certifications and active medical licenses in Virginia and North Carolina. As an American Board of Internal Medicine-certified physician with a focus in Hospital Medicine, he has consistently demonstrated his dedication to patient care.
His illustrious career as a Hospitalist at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, where he also served as Chief of Medicine, and a valued member of the Infection Prevention Committee, has significantly contributed to the healthcare community. Dr. Laza's work extends beyond clinical practice; he has been instrumental in shaping healthcare policies, including serving on the American Board of Internal Medicine's standard setting review group and the Organizing Committee of the ACP Virginia Chapter Annual Scientific Meeting Planning Committee.

Amanda is a registered dietitian with over 10 years of experience. She has treated patients with many different types of diseases and challenges both in a clinical setting and through 1:1 counseling. In addition to being a registered dietitian, Amanda received an IFNCP (integrated and functional nutrition certified practitioner) credential. Amanda does not provide a one time quick fix and takes an integrated approach to health and wellbeing. She takes your whole lifestyle into account and will work with you to create an individualized, realistic, and sustainable wellness plan. You can expect to be listened to with empathy and compassion in a non-judgment setting.
